Why not just jet it yourself?

Algae and moss thrive all over the UK. Shaded areas attract it most. Wet conditions and prolonged winters allow them to grow more prolifically. The spores from the black lichen start life as tiny dust-like spores growing on the underside of leaves on trees and plants. These spores are carried, by the wind and the rain, onto your stonework in their millions.

Moss and algae build up can cause serious slips and falls. Even the most able-bodied person may loose their footing and seriously injure themselves. Though moss and algae don’t physically damage walkways by themselves, they can trap water, ice and give footing for other roots to grow over surfaces.

With a straightforward blast, most dirt and moss will be removed. Where Black Lichen spots are heavily set in, these can be removed with a chemical pre-wash or left saturated and brushed off and jet washed for a final finish. Sealant chemicals can be added for a clean finish but also to provide a barrier from future moss and algae taking hold.

Before and After

Some moss build up and cover generally all over.Jet washed away with soft-wash biocide to help prolong the clean.
